Shocking Pinks front man Nick Harte
Under The Radar have reported, that Nick Harte has announced the release of a new EP, which will be called Guilt Mirrors which marks the first release from the Christchurch-based musician since his 2007 self-titled, full length album, that was released through New York based label DFA Records.
Their sound is a kind of cross pollination of garage rock’n’roll swagger, disco grooves, and indie Dunedin. It’s Hard To Breathe has hints of New Order/Joy Division, while Affection has a Blondie feel to it these songs from their 2004 album Dance the Dance Electric.
Shocking Pinks with be playing next Friday, 7th September at Cassette Nine’s MUM club night.
